About REF
The Research & Education Foundation (REF) at Sligo University Hospital (SUH) is a registered charity and limited company set up in 1991 to support training, education and research in health care in the hospital and its catchment area in the HSE North West Area.
Representatives from hospital staff members, local community and industry make up the REF board – their efforts are entirely voluntary. The REF works closely with SUH providing a vehicle for research governance; and supporting education and training within the hospital and its catchment area via:
